Dark was the night, Cold was the ground  is a 2d animated short film that I hope to be able to make one day. It was thought up in late 2019, in a periode where it felt like everything went wrong in the world. So the film is a metaphor for all the frustration I felt at the time and a critique of humankind. 

 

The story is told through a character which is doomed to wander an abandoned earth, where hate and greed has consumed everything. The character is a reflection of this greed but they also have a youthful and hopeful side to them. everything changes when they stumble upon something they can not refuse, Life, and they are willing to sacrifice everything for it.

 

The project could still use a lot of work, but I thought I could share what I have so far
